Eddie first joined Kaisayr in 2003, playing a major role in Kaisayr collecting their first real silverware – A Scottish League and IFA Cup double in 2004.
A reshuffle in the playing squad soon after meant several senior players moving on, and manager Ronnie McJannet made Eddie team captain for the following season. It was a role he excelled in, helping younger players mature, while providing experience and tenacity in the Kaisayr midfield, before finally hanging up his boots at the end of the 2004/2005 season.
After a season out of the game, Eddie was the unanimous choice of the committee to take over as manager, after some months of uncertainty following Ronnie’s resignation the previous summer.
In typical Eddie style, he put life back into the playing squad with his drive and determination to succeed, and Kaisayr were on the rise again. After steadying the ship for the remainder of the season, his first full season in charge, ended up with the side narrowly missing out on their second league title. Not perturbed by that, Eddie immediately set about going the extra step the following year, and on Saturday 18th July 09, Kaisayr were crowned champions again.
After leading Kaisayr to the title, Eddie announced that he was stepping down after two and a half years in charge. The club will be worse off without him, but he will always be welcomed and remembered as a true Kaisayr Legend.
