A reliable defender, Andy Napier was first spotted when playing against Kaisayr in a series of friendly matches for local side Sporting. After impressing in each, Andy joined the side just after the start of the 2008–09 season.
His experience and composure made him a fixture in the side, establishing himself as the first choice right back, replacing the recently retired Gordon McBlain. A tough ask, but one in which he excelled, going on to make 22 appearances as the club lifted the Scottish title for the second time in their history in July 2009.
After playing a key role during the 08–09 and 10-11 league winning campaigns, Andy continued to play an important role when available in the following season, before hanging up his boots at the end of the campaign at the age of 44.
