Graeme Warnock did very well in the right corner to tease his full-back and hold the ball up before delivering a perfect cross into the box which allowed Pete to rise above his marker and power a header down past the goalkeeper. |

Pete chased a ball down the left-flank, just keeping it in play. As he turned back into the box and pulled the ball back, he was caught late for a stonewall penalty, which the big striker converted with ease. |

Kaisayr finished 2009 on a high by maintaining an unbeaten start to the league season with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over the visiting Dunfermline ASC.
Overcoming the pre-match news that Ahmet (aka Boaby-Angus) Sorgucu and Andrew Gamble were missing with knocks, as well as James Fowler who missed out with work commitments, Martin Tocker was thrown the number three jersey and asked to fill in at left-back. Ashton Wright continued where he left off against Hearts, making a start on the right of midfield.
On the fun-size pitch at the Old Racecourse, both sides made a cagey start to the game, with chances at a premium. Pete Noble turned on the edge of the box and flashed a shot just past the top corner whilst Wright came close on a couple of occasions. It wasn’t all one way traffic, however, as Kyle McKay had to be at his usual brilliant best to keep the Pars out with a couple of smart one-on-one saves.
Steve Noble put Pete in for another chance but an excellent last ditch tackle denied him – the opener was only delayed though as the big striker arrived in the six yard box to meet a teasing cross from Graeme Warnock and head his side into a half-time lead.
Half-time: Kaisayr 1-0 Dunfermline ASC
The importance of grabbing a second goal and putting the game to bed was emphasised by the management team at half-time, with the realisation that the Pars were a dangerous opponent. Graeme Morton and Ian McIntyre were doing a fine job of winning the midfield battle, however and with Stuart Bell and Kenny Paterson in fine form behind them, the Kaisayr defensive unit never really looked like being breached.
The decisive second goal came midway through the half as Pete won and converted a penalty for his second of the game. After keeping a ball in on the left touchline and cutting into the box, he had just driven the ball across goal when he was caught for a stonewall spot-kick and he dusted himself down to fire Kaisayr into a two goal lead.
This prompted an immediate substitution from the gaffer as Fraser Bryden was thrown on for Wright, with Steve Noble switching back to right midfield. As the home side soaked up the pressure and hit on the counter, Pete, twice, and Fuzzy went close only to be denied by a goalkeeper who was very quick off his line.
There was time for Mark Pringle to make a debut and further shore things up in midfield as the Scottish Champions saw the game, and 2009, out with relative ease.
